The short answer is: because I'm good. The longer answer is: here
are a few details about my experience. If
you want to see some examples of my work, go to Clients.
- I was Publications Manager at what is now
MasterCard Europe in Brussels, managing and writing their external and internal
communications. Several years later, I still do regular work for them.
- I started out as a financial journalist in
London, writing on
financial services, mortgages and property. Publications include The Observer, Wall Street Journal Europe, Moneywise, What Mortgage and Investment International.
- I launched and edited the award-winning Personal
Finance magazine, a monthly consumer
title.
- Though my background is financial, I've also written successfully for clients in many other sectors: hotels, food, education, utilities, waste collection, whisky and IT, to name just a few.
- I studied Japanese and Law at St John's College,
Cambridge.
- I write about books for The Guardian's website, and wrote about Thomas Hardy and
Dorset in the anthology Common
Ground.
"Sarah has provided us with
a writing and research service for our Group
Annual Report and Accounts, Annual Review and
Corporate Responsibility report for several years. The schedule for delivering these
documents is very demanding and her efficiency
in getting from the brief to well-researched,
well-written copy has brought real benefits to
our production process.
"All in all she provides
an excellent service - fast, friendly, professional
and value for money - which gives invaluable
support to our small communications team."
