Writing about pensions is actually interesting!

Over the past few years, there have been radical regulatory and policy changes in the UK pensions market, and each new piece of legislation entails upheaval for the pensions industry.

As a result, much strategic thinking has been focused on the future of the industry.

One thought leader in this sphere is KPMG, who have produced some interesting and far-sighted reports on the consequences of pensions freedoms. I’ve written and edited various pieces for them, including white papers and blogs.

As a financial journalist, I was convinced that writing articles about pensions was dull (as were most of my colleagues). I was wrong – the bigger thinking around the future of pensions in the UK is very interesting indeed, and will affect us all.
